Family Retreat
January 13-15, 2023

It’s back!!!!  The Temple Sinai Family Retreat is open for registration, and we can’t wait to have SNOW MUCH FUN with you!

Join us at the Capital Camps Retreat Center in Waynesboro, PA, from Friday January 13 – Sunday January 15 for a weekend of SNOW MUCH FUN:  We’ll sing, play, pray, eat, learn, compete, laugh…and play in the snow together.  To check out the weekend’s sample itinerary and for more information, including registration, head to our registration link here.

Family Retreats are special opportunities to connect with other Temple Sinai families with elementary school aged children, engage in Jewish fun, and enjoy a weekend away with your family where we handle all the planning!  (We’ll even send a packing list!)

Retreat registration is open now.  Help us reach our goal of 15 Sinai families registered for the retreat before Rosh Hashanah comes!

Civil Rights Trek
February 13-19, 2023

Second bus added!

Join Cantor Croen, Rabbi Goldstein and other Temple Sinai congregants for an unforgettable journey through the American South. Learn on-location about the Civil Rights Movement and the role of the Jewish community in this ongoing struggle.

On our trip, we will immerse ourselves in the history, journeys and lived experience of the Civil Rights movement. We will explore the destinations important to the movement including the Rosa Parks Museum in Montgomery, Alabama, the Civil Rights Institute in Birmingham, AL and the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, AL. We will also tour the King Center and attend Sunday morning services at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta. We will learn about the impact that the Jewish community had on this important chapter of American history.

Israel Trip
June 21-July 2, 2023

Join Temple Sinai’s memorable adventure to Israel led by Cantor Rebecca Robins.

Israel is a land of connections and reconnections, of first-time discovery and returning for nostalgia and new adventure. Traveling together as a community, we will bond through engaging and fun shared experiences and enhance our understanding of culture and archaeology, religion and politics, the ancient and the modern, as we delve in-depth into Israel’s millennia-old legacy as the heart of the Jewish people.
