Music

Music is an integral part of life at Temple Sinai and plays an important role in enhancing worship at all of our services. Senior Cantor Laura Croen heads our music staff, which includes Cantorial Soloist Robyn Helzner, Cantor Educator Rebecca Robins, and accompanist Neil Weston. The adult and junior choirs and in-house band Middle Matzah Conspiracy, are “labors of love” whose members volunteer their time and talents. The Music Committee collaborates with Cantor Croen to bring a wide range of musical programs to our community.

Circle of Music Lovers

Support Temple Sinai’s music programming by becoming a member of the 2023 Circle of Music Lovers. With this year’s special campaign, we are raising funds in honor of Senior Cantor Laura Croen that will help continue her legacy of great music at Temple Sinai in the coming years.

Temple Sinai Choirs

The adult choir sings traditional and contemporary music for all the sanctuary High Holiday services as well as special events throughout the year. While many choir members have sung together for years, new participants are always welcome! The adult choir is open to all temple members of post-Confirmation age. It isn’t necessary to be able to read music or to audition to join the choir, just to be able to sing in tune. Interested in joining? Contact Gail Sell, assistant to Cantor Laura Croen.

The Junior Choir, for students in grades 4-6, meets Sunday mornings during Religious School.
