Music
Music is an integral part of life at Temple Sinai and plays an important role in enhancing worship at all of our services. Senior Cantor Rachel Rhodes heads our music staff, which includes Cantorial Soloist Robyn Helzner, Cantor Educator Rebecca Robins, and keyboard artist Neil Weston. The adult and junior choirs and in-house band Middle Matzah Conspiracy, are “labors of love” whose members volunteer their time and talents. The Music Committee collaborates with Cantor Rhodes to bring a wide range of musical programs to our community.
Circle of Music Lovers
Support our community’s music programming by becoming a member of the Circle of Music Lovers. The Circle is open to everyone who appreciates the value of diverse, high-quality musical programs at Temple Sinai. All contributions are welcome and appreciated. We are deeply grateful to all our donors!
Temple Sinai Choirs
The adult choir sings traditional and contemporary music for all the sanctuary High Holiday services as well as special events throughout the year. While many choir members have sung together for years, new participants are always welcome! The adult choir is open to all temple members of post-Confirmation age. It isn’t necessary to be able to read music or to audition to join the choir, just to be able to sing in tune. Interested in joining? Contact Gail Sell, assistant to Cantor Rachel Rhodes.
The Junior Choir, for students in grades 4-6, meets Sunday mornings during Religious School.
Middle Matzah Conspiracy
Welcome Shabbat by celebrating the extraordinary richness of music at Temple Sinai, led by Cantor Rachel Rhodes! Our congregation is blessed with many wonderful musicians, each a unique and luminous thread in an exquisite tapestry of song, woven on the strong loom of our community.
