Join the Multiracial Sinai Committee in a conversation about 13th, the 2016 documentary exploring the racial inequalities found in policing and incarceration in the US. After millions of people witnessed the tragic death of George Floyd, many have expressed shock and have demanded change. The documentary provides context for why and how Gordon Parker, Jr., George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and many others are murdered, year after year, without accountability. Our conversation will explore reactions to the film, the pervasive systems of racism, the local climate and actions we each can take to help build an equitable society.
