Bring Them Home Now
Candles will remain on our bima along with the prayer “matir asurim (to free the captives)” until all hostages are home from Gaza. Learn more about the people held hostage here. The initial dedication and blessing of the vigil took place during our Shabbat Service on October 27, 2023.

JCRC Gathering at Qatari Embassy
On January 24, 2024, Temple Sinai members were in attendance at a peaceful gathering at the Qatari Embassy organized by the Jewish Community Relations Council to press the Qatari government to demand Hamas immediately release more than 130 hostages still being held in Gaza. Speakers included Temple Sinai Cantorial Soloist Robyn Helzner (pictured above), Representatives Jamie Raskin (pictured above) and Glenn Ivey, former American-Israeli hostage Alan Gross and JCRC Executive Director Ron Halber.
