DAYTIMERS: Charlottesville and January 6th: Lessons for Today’s Political Environment

Tim Heaphy will discuss his book, Harbingers, about Charlottesville and January 6th and places them in a common context. Further, he will make observations about the state of democracy today and the best ways to insure its survival. Mr. Heaphy will entertain questions as well.
Tim Heaphy was the Chief Investigative Counsel of the House of Representatives Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol, He also oversaw the Independent Investigation into the August 12, 2017 riot in Charlottesville, Virginia, He previously served as the Obama-appointed U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Virginia. Currently he is a partner at Wilkie, Farr & Gallagher LLP.
