The Religious Action Center (the RAC), Union of Reform Judaism’s nonpartisan advocacy arm in Washington, DC, has organized a nationwide campaign to communicate strong support for pending voting rights legislation in Congress: the For the People Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act.
The RAC’s Maryland Team is organizing a virtual meeting for members of Maryland Reform congregations and friends with the offices of both of our U.S. Senators – Ben Cardin and Chris Van Hollen – to tell them of our strong support for this legislation.
This Zoom meeting is scheduled for Wednesday July 28 at 2 pm (with a mandatory pre-meeting at 1:30 pm).
Temple Sinai’s Davis Center for Social Justice invites you to join this social justice advocacy effort. Add your voice to support voting rights legislation and sign up here https://bit.ly/July28votingrightslegislationcall for the July 28 call.
You do not have to live in Maryland nor do you have to be a TS member to participate, and you may share this information with friends.
