Praying With Our Feet @ A Wider Circle
OffsiteSeveral times a year, Sinai congregants celebrate Shabbat with tikkun olam at A Wider Circle in Silver Spring. We meet at AWC on Saturday morning, begin with a short Shabbat service, and help sort donated clothes, furniture and household goods for families who come to “shop.” All ages welcome, but we recommend kids be elementary+. Torah Study
A wonderful educational opportunity awaits all who attend weekly Torah Study on Saturday mornings, beginning at 9:15am. The classes, led by our clergy, focus on the Torah reading for the week.
Kehillat Shabbat sevice & Kiddush luncheon
Bet AmThese lay-led services offer opportunities to chant a few verses of Torah or Haftarah in a supportive atmosphere. Participants can also sign up to deliver a d’var Torah (analysis of the weekly Torah portion) that leads to a group discussion. The temple provides lunch following services.
