Please join us for the opening of an exhibit of Israeli art work on the subject of tolerance, equality, accepting the other, and valuing a shared society, and for a talk by Amir Tibon on the current situation in Israel.
Jewish and Arab elementary and secondary school youths in the greater Tel Aviv area participated in the contest. The winning artwork has been displayed at Jaffa port since June 2019 and have been seen by thousands of visitors. Upon attending the exhibition opening three years ago, Mrs. Nechama Rivlin (z’l), wife of Israel’s president, said “This exhibition can teach us all a lesson about humanity, tolerance and inclusion.” This program has been supported by Temple Sinai and other institutions.
The Daniel Centers for Progressive Judaism, led by Rabbi Meir Azari, organized the program, which is now beginning its fourth year. The winning posters will be shown in other US cities.
