Shabbat Service followed by Shonim B’Yachad Art Exhibit & Oneg
October 20, 2023 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
All are welcome to join us for our weekly Shabbat service in person or virtually. This week, Temple Sinai will once again welcome the exhibition of art from Shonim B’Yachad, “Embracing our Differences,” a multicultural art contest for elementary and secondary school students from Tel Aviv. The service will be followed by an oneg reception and opportunity to view the artwork.
Shonim B’Yachad is an initiative organized by the Daniel Centers for Progressive Judaism in Tel Aviv. Its goal is the advancement of the values of tolerance, equality, accepting the other and shared existence in Israel. The exhibit is about connecting with and “embracing others” who differ in their religion, ethnicity, race, physical features, or socio-economic background. Temple Sinai has supported this program since 2017.
