The Role Of Settler Violence In Dispossessing Palestinian Land In The West Bank And East Jerusalem
October 18, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Guest Speaker Lara Friedman, President, Foundation For Middle East Peace
Presented by J Street Temple Sinai DC
Jewish settlement growth on the West Bank and East Jerusalem has been a key component of a policy of absorbing Palestinian land in contravention of international law regarding governance of occupied territories. An outgrowth of settlement expansion has been direct violence committed by a minority of settlers to drive Palestinians from their homes, farms, and villages. This violence has increased year over year with little or no protection from Israeli security forces. Come to Sinai J Street’s program where you will learn about who is committing this violence, the impact of this violence on Palestinians, and how it fits into a larger context of systematic dispossession of Palestinian property.
