With climate change being an existential threat to our planet, our guest speaker will discuss the significance of the actions President Biden has taken to protect our environment and combat climate change. He also will touch on the progress being made in the private sector in reducing the threat of climate change.
David Doniger is the Senior Strategic Director of the Climate and Clean Energy Program at the Natural Resources Defense Council. He has been at the forefront of the battle against global climate change since he joined the NRDC in 1978. He helped formulate the Montreal Protocol, an international agreement designed to stop the depletion of the earth’s ozone layer. In 1993 he joined the White House Council on Environmental Quality as well as serving at the Environmental Protection agency. He rejoined the NRDC in 2001.
