Online Donations by Credit Card & ACH payments
Online donations to any temple fund can be made here. If you would like to make an online contribution towards your annual membership financial commitment (dues), please make sure to log into your member account using the same link. All online credit card or ACH donations initiated by December 31, 2024 will be counted for the 2024 tax year.
Giving by Check
Checks can be mailed to or dropped off at Temple Sinai at 3100 Military Rd NW, Washington, DC 20015. If you are making a member payment, please address your envelope to the attention of the Finance Office. If you are making a donation, please address your envelope to the attention of the Development Office. All checks dated and postmarked by December 31, 2024, or dropped off at the temple on or before December 31, 2024, will be counted for the 2024 tax year.
Giving with a Donor Advised Fund
Both annual membership financial commitments (dues) and other donations to Temple Sinai can be given with a Donor Advised Fund. Please follow your Donor Advised Fund’s institutional instructions to make a donation. Temple Sinai’s EIN/Tax ID is 53-0231513.
Giving Appreciated Stock/Securities
Gifts of stock/securities can be made to Temple Sinai for both annual membership financial commitments (dues) and other donations. Please follow the instructions here and let our Finance Manager, Andrei Israel, know how many shares and what security you plan to give and how this gift should be applied to payments or donations. All stock/security transfers received by December 31, 2024 will be counted for the 2024 tax year.
Giving by Direct Wire Transfer
A direct wire transfer can be made to Temple Sinai for both annual membership financial commitments (dues) and other donations. Please follow the instructions here and let our Finance Manager, Andrei Israel, know the amount you plan to transfer and how this gift should be applied to payments or donations. All direct wire transfers initiated by December 31, 2024 will be counted for the 2024 tax year.
Giving with an IRA Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) & Required Minimum Distributions (RMD)
IRA owners age 70½ or over can give a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from their IRA distribution. Those aged 73 and above are required to take a minimum distribution from their IRA retirement accounts. Donating from your IRA distribution to Temple Sinai as a qualified charitable organization may reduce your taxable income while also supporting the Temple Sinai community.
