This fascinating conversation and text study with Rabbi Hannah Goldstein and Naomi Malka, Director, Adas Israel Community Mikvah, will explore the changing role of the mikvah for progressive Jews, many who are increasingly embracing this ancient ritual at transitional moments in their lives. You’ll see the mikvah beyond the outdated lens of impurity and myth, and discover creative uses of the mikvah beyond conversions and pre-wedding immersions.
Participants will not immerse at this event. We’ll watch a demonstration by someone in a bathing suit, and visitors have the option to return at a later date.
There is a suggested donation of $18 per person; all funds raised go to TSWRJ programming.
This event is planned as an in-person event, but subject to Covid 19 safety considerations.
