American Jewish Thought Since 1934
Join us for a new take on the Rabbi’s class! Join all three of the rabbis in a yearlong study of American Jewish Thought. The last few years have many of us asking big questions. Over the course of this year, we will be studying a collection of essays by leading contemporary thinkers that focus on big ideas in American Judaism.
Divided into 7 sections, each rabbi will teach a few of the topics. The course will begin meeting on Zoom twice a month, on the first two Tuesdays of the month. Feel free to join for the full year or to drop in and out as the topics appeal to you.
Students will be expected to purchase their own copy of American Jewish Thought Since 1934: Writings on Identity, Engagement, and Belief, edited by Michael Marmur and David Ellenson.
