Join us for Sinai House’s annual Tricia Davis 5K! While we can’t all gather together due to crowd restrictions in Washington, DC, we encourage you to celebrate Mother’s Day by creating or joining a Social Team to walk or run wherever you choose. You will be able to share your race time, pictures and videos on the race website and on social media with the hashtag #SinaiHouseDC5K.
We have been supporting our residents with virtual programming during the past year. In addition, more of our alumni have been using our virtual services, both because of their increased needs and the ease of access. And we are launching our new post-residency program this spring as current residents move out of Sinai House into more permanent housing. Through this program, we will provide post-residents with a rent subsidy, some social services, and help in connecting to the services available to them in their new neighborhoods. This program will double our capacity, allowing Sinai House to serve eight families at a time, four in residence at Sinai House and four alumni living in the community, and will help ensure that departing residents and their families maintain financial independence and thrive in future years.
