The pace of bringing our congregation back to the temple is gaining speed. To keep you informed of the rapidly changing and evolving plans, we are sending regular email updates we’re calling, “Regathering 5782″ to all members. It’s our way of sharing not only updates to our COVID-19 policies, but the plans we’re contemplating as we move forward. Not getting member emails? Let us know at virtual@templesinaidc.org.
Our goal is simple: to open our doors as wide as possible while protecting the health of our intergenerational congregation. We owe that to everyone. To do that, we will continue to closely monitor public health guidance and consult with our committee of medical and public health professionals who have been guiding us along the way.
While many temple members are eager to return in person, we also realize that many of our members have embraced online gatherings through Zoom. So in addition to welcoming members back live, we are also planning to upgrade our technology so we can provide even higher quality services and programs online, along with our in-person offerings.
Our Jewish tradition teaches us that “all of Israel is responsible for each other.” In that spirit, we are mindful of the fact that there are some in our community who cannot be vaccinated, particularly children under 12. This informs our approach to regathering. So too does the fact that our communal understanding of COVID-19, vaccination, and associated public health guidance is changing. As such, please understand that our guidance will evolve and change.
