The admissions process at TSNS begins with a tour of our school, which is required for all prospective families in the Washington, DC area. Tours are led by our Assistant Director, who is also a former Nursery School parent and faculty member. She will provide you with an opportunity to visit classrooms, including our art studio/investigation room, motor room, and outdoor play spaces, as well as time to learn about our educational philosophy, have your questions answered and meet briefly with our Head of School.
Tours last approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes and begin at 9:45 AM. These tours are for adults; please do your best to arrange for childcare during this time.

An admissions packet is provided at the tour. Families who live outside the Washington, DC area will be e-mailed admissions materials. We will make every effort to accommodate their scheduling needs so that they are able to visit our school if they are in the Washington, DC area.
The children of Temple Sinai members, and siblings of currently and previously enrolled TSNS children, are given priority in the admissions process until December 31.
At TSNS, our formal admission period takes place annually from October through December. Families who have applied for admission for their children during this period will receive an admissions decision by the third week in January. Admission applications submitted after January 1 are reviewed on a rolling basis and parents are notified about admissions decisions as soon as possible.
