Erev Sukkot Service
Monday, September 20 at 7:00 pm

Sukkot is a time for rejoicing with friends and family in the beautifully decorated Sukkah. Join the celebration on the evening of September 20 for a creative service in our sukkah (weather permitting). This is a fun and stimulating night of learning, prayer, and community gathering. This service will also be available via Zoom. In case of rain, this service will take place in the sanctuary.

* Masks are required. Proof of vaccination required, if eligible. Unvaccinated members are only required to show proof of a negative Covid PCR test with 72 hours if the service is moved to the sanctuary.


Sukkot Morning Service
Tuesday, September 21 at 10:00 am

Join us as we gather to celebrate Sukkot with Temple Emanuel and Temple Shalom. This service is hosted by Temple Emanuel

*The service is planned to be outdoors. Masks are optional and there is plenty of room to social distance.  Emanuel will provide chairs or folks can bring their own lawn chairs/picnic blankets. In case of inclement weather, the service will be moved indoors. Anyone attending an indoor service at Emanuel must email proof of vaccination in advance to vaccine@templeemanuelmd.org. If you have a medical exemption, please bring that with you to services along with proof of a negative PCR test taken no more than 72 hours before services. For those ineligible to be vaccinated (under 12 years of age) please bring proof of a negative PCR test taken no more than 72 hours before services.


TSMRJ Scotch & Sushi in the Sukkah
Thursday, September 23 at 7:00 pm

Join the Brotherhood for our kick-off event of the new year. Sample a variety of Scotches and learn a little about each while enjoying some sushi and hearing about the Brotherhood’s regathering plans for the upcoming year. This event is free and open to all adult Temple Sinai members (21 years and older).

Sukkot Family Pizza Party
Saturday, September 25 at 5:00 pm

Attention TSRS Families! Join us for a festive time together in the Sukkah, and around our Temple Sinai building. We’ll indulge in a Sukkot Pizza party, have games and crafts, fulfill the mitzvot of Sukkot together, and have a ton of fun.

Sukkot & Simchat Torah Website Banner

Simchat Torah

Monday, September 27 at 7:00 pm

At Temple Sinai, we celebrate two holidays on the same day: one celebrating the Torah, the other for the end of Sukkot. On the evening of September 21, we will simultaneously complete and begin the annual cycle of the reading of the Torah. At this Simchat Torah festival service, congregants of all ages will join in seven hakafot (processionals) in the Temple Sinai parking lot with flags, festive music, and dancing and singing in honor of the Torah.

This service is fair weather only. In case of rain or if you are celebrating at home, we encourage you to check out the online Reform Movement celebration at 7:00 pm.

Tuesday, September 28 at 10:00 am

Join us as we gather to celebrate Simchat Torah with Temple Emanuel and Temple Shalom. This service is hosted by Temple Shalom. It will take place outdoors and be available via Zoom. In case of rain, it will be moved inside Temple Shalom.
