High Holy Days

June 25, 2020

It is probably no surprise that our High Holy Day worship will be impacted by the ongoing pandemic. Our clergy, board and COVID-19 advisory group have determined that there is no safe way for our community to gather in person for High Holy Day services as we have in the past. We share a sense of loss that we cannot safely gather in our sanctuary, Bet Am and at BCC with the Sinai community. We also see this as an opportunity to think creatively about how we adapt our worship for this unusual time. We will spend the summer months creating worship opportunities for our community that balance tradition with innovation, that meet the needs of our congregation from our youngest to our oldest members, and that provide a sense of community and togetherness. We are also exploring the possibility of some small, socially distanced outdoor meetups, with safety as a top priority. There will be additional information available in the coming weeks about how to participate in our High Holy Day services and programs, so we ask that you stay tuned.
