GOTV 2020

Thank you to the over 350 Temple Sinai Team GOTV volunteers!

Since June, we wrote and sent 27,000 post cards to voters in southern states. Since mid-July, we’ve made 7,755 phone calls, had 679 conversations, left 2,701 voice mails, and sent 5,500 texts. TSGOTV accomplished this important election year work in partnership with the RAC (Religious Action Center) and the non-partisan group Reclaim Our Vote.

Again, thank you not only to all the volunteers who participated but also to everyone who donated to support the project. We raised enough money from wonderfully generous congregants and friends to cover the costs of all our supplies.

Thank you!!

Get Out the Vote 2020

Since June, Temple Sinai’s GOTV work group has partnered with  the Religious Action Center (the RAC) and The Center for Common Ground’s Reclaim Our Vote Campaign, a  volunteer-driven, nonpartisan voter outreach campaign  to help empower voters of color and fight voter suppression, especially in the South.

Temple Sinai’s TeamGOTV2020’s initial goal was to contact 5,000 voters by the end of the summer. With a cohort of over 360 adults, middle and high school students, and college-aged volunteers, we’ve sent over 27,000 post cards and made over 3,000 phone calls. It’s not too late to help!

PLEASE SUPPORT TSGOTV2020’s WORK

As of early October, we have raised all but $2500 to cover the cost of supplies for our post card project. Please consider a contribution to Temple Sinai’s Social Action Committee to help underwrite the costs of these supplies. If donating online, please note GOTV2020 in the occasion box. If you donate by check, please put GOTV2020 on the memo line, and mail it to Temple Sinai.

Thank you to our TSGOTV2020 volunteers!
