Shabbat Shira | P’tach Libi (Open My Heart): Music, the Gateway to the Soul
February 24, 2023 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Open your heart to prayer as the beauty and spirit of Jewish music fills every corner of our sanctuary! Cantor Croen comes full circle to collaborate with her early mentor Joyce Rosenzweig, accomplished pianist, conductor and professor at the HUC/JIR School of Sacred Music.
This dynamic duo joins with our choir and special guest musicians to engage our souls on a tour of richly diverse cantorial music, from classic to contemporary, from listening pieces to singalongs. Experience where we’ve come from and where we’re going!
Music Committee member Kent Allen recently spoke with Cantor Croen and Joyce Rosenzweig. Read more.
The service begins at 7:30 pm and is followed by a Festive Oneg.
Joining in person? This evening is free and open to all, but your RSVP will help us plan for the right amount of food and seats. RSVP here.
