Members

Members may request tickets for themselves along with family and out-of-town guests to all services on a first come, first served basis.

Beginning Monday, August 12: Links to request tickets will be available in the Member Portal (you must be logged in to view).

Guest tickets are available to members at no additional charge. Please consider making a donation of $118 or more per guest, per service to support the High Holidays at Temple Sinai. You can make your donation as part of the ticket request process or via the main Temple Sinai High Holidays Giving page. Thank you for joining us for the holidays and for your generous support!

Services at Temple Sinai will be available via public livestream. Services at Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School will be in-person only.

Traveling for the holidays? We’ll be happy to help you get reciprocity tickets to attend services at another URJ congregation. Fill out this form or email highholidays@templesinaidc.org to let us know where you’d like to worship and whether you’re attending services with a member of that congregation.
Non-Members

Erev Rosh HaShanah Service

On Wednesday, October 2 at 6:30 pm, welcome Rosh HaShanah with a service meant to open your heart to connection, expand your mind to new Torah, and fill your ears with song. Anyone is welcome to join us – member and non-member individuals and families of all ages. Tickets are $136 each and are available for purchase as capacity permits.

Tot Family Services

Tickets are available to all families at no charge. Please consider making a donation of $118 or more per service as part of your ticket reservation to support the High Holidays at Temple Sinai. All donations help ensure that we continue to provide our members and guests with a variety of spiritually fulfilling worship services both in person and virtually.

Reciprocity Requests

Members of other URJ congregations may request reciprocity tickets to any of our services, subject to availability. Please submit requests via email to highholidays@templesinaidc.org.

All services at Temple Sinai will be available via public livestream.

Things to Know

Accessibility
At Temple Sinai

Accessible seating areas are designated near the front and back of the sanctuary for those with mobility, vision, and hearing concerns. There are designated spaces for wheelchairs. You do not need to arrange for accessible seating in advance.

Temple Sinai’s integrated hearing assist system can be accessed via Bluetooth or headsets available at the temple.

The Beit Midrash will have a live feed from the sanctuary for families with young children to take a break. Children should be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

The library will have a live feed from the sanctuary for anyone else who needs to step away from the sanctuary.

At B-CC High School

The back row on the main level of the auditorium is designed for those with mobility concerns. There are designated spaces for wheelchairs. The front row is designated for those with vision and hearing concerns. You do not need to arrange for accessible seating in advance.

The B-CC auditorium is not equipped with assistive hearing options.

The hallway between the main school entrance and the auditorium has ample space for those who need to step away from the service. Children should be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

Parking

At Temple Sinai

Parking at the temple is available for worshippers with disabilities or special needs on a first-come, first-served basis. To use these spaces, a parking pass from the temple is required. Please request this pass in advance by emailing us at highholidays@templesinaidc.org or calling the temple office at (202) 363-6394.

Drivers may also drop off passengers before parking in the neighborhood.

Street parking is available nearby. Please respect our neighbors by following parking signs and avoiding blocking driveways and alleys. Parking is not allowed at Ingleside at Rock Creek at any time. Parking at the Carnegie Institution is only permitted during evening and weekend hours.

B-CC High School

Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School is located at 4301 East-West Hwy, Bethesda, MD. Limited onsite parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis, including designated handicapped parking. Please do not park in spaces designated for school staff.

Drivers may also drop off passengers before parking nearby.

Metered parking can be found in the Waverly Parking Garage, which is a short walk from the school.

Please do not park on nearby residential streets, which are limited to local resident parking.

TSWRJ Fund Drive for the Capital Area Food Bank

Over a million people in the DC region don’t always know where their next meal is coming from. Although the pandemic has ended, CAFB is still providing 100% more meals than they did in 2019, your support has never mattered more.

Each $20 you contribute can feed a family of four for 4-5 days. That’s good food today for a bright future tomorrow.

Last year, Temple Sinai raised $35,000 and helped provide 70,000 meals. The need is still great. Let’s see if we can match this amount or even exceed it this year! Every dollar counts!

Donate Your Old Machzors
The Green Team will be collecting copies of Gates of Repentance during Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur services – just bring your old ones with you to drop off in our collections bins at Temple Sinai. Books will not be collected at B-CC High School.

Items collected will be donated to a congregation looking to use the books or buried in the genizah at Garden of Remembrance.
