On Sunday, Oct. 9, 2005, Temple Sinai members walked to raise awareness and funds for Sinai House. Sinai House, located in DC’s Shaw neighborhood, provides transitional housing and wrap-around support services to formerly homeless families with children. Owned and operated by Sinai Assisted Housing Foundation, Inc., Sinai House relies on the community for strong financial support. Its major source of funding is Temple Sinai’s annual Walk for Sinai House, a registered part of the Fannie Mae Help the Homeless Program.
