I did not find the world desolate when I entered it, and as my ancestors planted for me, so I plant for my children...The Talmud
Almost everyone has the ability to leave a lasting legacy. When you make a gift to the Endowment Fund, it keeps giving for years. Planned gifts take many forms – such as bequests in wills, life insurance, charitable remainder trusts, and living trusts. But they all have one thing in common: They let you to support institutions you care about while still taking care of your family's long-term financial needs. Join us!
Please consider a planned gift when you next reflect on how Temple Sinai enriches your life ... at the High Holy Days, Shabbat, classes, life-cycle events, school, Adult Ed, and so much more. The brochures (above right) can help you find a plan – in consultation with your financial advisor – that both secures your family's financial future and reflects your charitable goals.
Help us repair the world when you are doing your financial planning, estate planning, tax planning, or charitable giving. Also consider joining our Rimonim Society (below). Thank you for your generosity and visit our Gala page for photos from some of our past fundraisers. Questions? E-mail our Development Office (click here) or call 202-363-6394 (x214).

Affirm your commitment to Temple Sinai with a "Planned Gift" to our Endowment Fund ... See below for how:

We named our bequest society the Rimonim Society when it was founded in 2004. "Rimon" is the Hebrew word for pomegranate, an item rich in Jewish tradition and symbolism. (The pomegranate, for example, has widespread ornamental application on Torah crowns, as well as its function as the ner tamid above our own Ark)
To express our thanks, we sought a unique way to honor our bequest members, and on Friday, March 24, 2006, Temple Sinai observed a “Rimonim Shabbat” — a donor recognition opportunity to honor the founding members of our Rimonim Society. Each member was invited to the bimah to receive an original work of art commissioned as a donor recognition gift and created by congregant and artist, Lou Kaplan. See Photos.
If you wish to make a bequest to Temple Sinai or otherwise help, please call 202-363-6394 (x214). Thank you for sharing your strength and affirming your commitment to Temple Sinai.
