Sisterhood brings together the women of Temple Sinai in pursuit of community, friendship, service, and learning. We sponsor numerous educational and study programs on topics of interest to Temple Sinai families, join in social action and fundraising events, support Temple Sinai's youth through scholarships, develop intergenerational programming, and provide gifts to college students, confirmands, and B’nai Mitzvah. Sisterhood volunteers set up Shabbat and Holiday Onegs and Kiddushim, as well as the community’s Second Seder, and they provide Meals of Comfort for bereaved member families. Sisterhood members operate the congregation’s Judaica Shop and the yearly Chanukah Mart. Finally, Sisterhood financially supports local, national, and international groups whose programs further the goals of Sisterhood and Reform Judaism. |
